Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Yes, all sessions are telehealth. In person sessions are not available at this time.

What is the cost of therapy?

A 50-minute individual session is $200.

What states do you offer therapy in?

At this time, I am licensed to provide therapy in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Colorado, and Iowa. If you are outside of these states and interested in services, feel free to contact me. There are several states in which I am pursuing licensure.

Do you have a sliding scale?

Yes, I have a sliding scale available with priority given to people who are BIPOC, queer, and/or trans. If you need sliding scale services and I do not have current availability, I will attempt to connect you with like-minded clinicians who may have sliding scale availability.

Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance or third-party payments; however, I do accept health savings accounts when a Visa or Mastercard logo is on the card. I can also provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.

Will you submit out-of-network claims for me?

I do not provide this service; however, I will provide you with the documentation needed. Individuals can often file claims through their online insurance portal.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Unless otherwise agreed upon, I charge the full session fee for all appointments that are canceled with less than 24-hours notice.

How long can I expect to be in therapy?

Therapy sessions are 50-minutes long. The number of therapy sessions depends on your goals. A good deal can be accomplished in a few sessions. At the same time, some of my clients choose to attend therapy long term. We can talk about your goals and what would be the best fit for your needs.

Do you see straight, cisgender, monogamous, skinny clients too?

Yes. If you feel we would be a good fit, then we likely are.

I am thinking about killing or hurting myself right now. What do I do?

I do not provide emergency services and am not available to address mental health or domestic emergencies. If you are having an emergency, use the following 24/7 crisis support lines or go to the emergency room of your choosing. You can also call 911.  Before calling, please note that these services may alert local police if you endorse plan, means, or intent to hurt yourself or someone else. If you are deeply considering taking your life, I would encourage you to use every means possible of staying alive.
